This summer, thousands of children across the country got stuck into our Food Explorer Quest activity books — learning, laughing, and playing their way to healthier habits.

But what did providers think?

We asked for feedback, and here’s what you told us:

  • How much did the children enjoy and engage with the book? “A lot.” Kids loved the mix of puzzles, educational info, and hands-on challenges.

  • Did the book help children learn more about food, nutrition, or making healthy choices? “Yes, definitely.” From balanced diets to fun food facts, the learning stuck.

  • How easy was the book to use and deliver within your sessions? “Easy.” No prep, no stress — just open, share, and go.

  • Did the book support your goals (HAF outcomes, participation, keeping children engaged)? “Strongly supported.” The content aligned perfectly with providers’ aims.

  • Overall usefulness (1 = not at all, 10 = perfectly aligned with HAF objectives)? 9/10!

We’re thrilled to see the impact these books made, and we’re already working on ways to make future editions even better.

Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback — it’s your insight that helps us keep creating resources that truly work.
